Back in Business & Justin's New Venture

We are back in business and accepting orders again. See post below for pricing, flavors and contact information. Thanks for being patient with us while we took some time off to enjoy our precious baby girl! We look forward to hearing from you and doing business with you again.

Also we wanted to let you all know Justin is working on a new business venture. He has done some photo slideshows for a few different people for weddings, rehearsal dinners, etc over the years and he is really good at it so we decided why not turn this into a business venture. So if you are ever in need of a photo slideshow for a birthday party, shower, wedding, etc keep him in mind. He will be working up pricing and will probably get his own blog started in the next couple of weeks so we will share that information as it becomes available. He also has a few other ideas for the business so stay tuned for more services he might be offering in the future.

Currently I offer three flavors of cupcakes and four flavors of icings. Below is our current menu and pricing.

Cupcake Flavors:
Very Vanilla- delightful vanilla cupcake
Chocolate Bliss- chocolate sour cream cupcake
Simply Strawberry- delicious strawberry cupcake

Icing Flavors:
Cream Cheese- this is my sister's favorite especially on the Chocolate Bliss cupcakes
Buttercream- my favorite
Chocolate Buttercream
Strawberry

Pricing:Plain or Colored Icing:
Mini cupcakes- $10/dozen
Standard cupcakes- $15/dozen
Decorative (polka dots, names, etc.)
Mini cupcakes- $15/dozen
Standard cupcakes- $20/dozen

No Orders Accepted March 1st-April 30th

Due to our special delivery that is scheduled to arrive sometime in March, we will not be taking any orders for March or April. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and hope that you will continue to use BabyCakes for future orders. Our baby girl, Ava Kate is due in March and we have waited 5 years for this special delivery so we want to have plenty of time with her when she arrives. We plan to continue to take orders starting in May. We truly appreciate your support and prayers through this journey!

No Orders Will Be Accepted June 27th-July 13th

We got our In Vitro calendar from our doctor last week. We will begin our cycle in mid June. Please pray with us as we go through this process again. We believe God can do miracles and we also believe He has a plan for us and His plan is far better than any we could imagine. While we can't imagine being more joyed than if we found out this IVF cycle was successful we trust that if it is not successful the day we do get to bring a baby home either naturally, through some treatment or adoption will be the most glorious day of our lives and it will be more joyful than any plan we could have come up with ourselves. So pray for safety as we travel, peace as we go through the process, strength for me to get through all of the procedures and patience as we wait to see if it is successful. I will not be taking orders for the dates of June 27th through July 13th. We will be traveling a lot during that time and the retrieval and transfer are scheduled during those times. I am sorry if that inconveniences anyone. Thank you all for your support and your prayers!

What a Week!

Wow! Last week was quite a week. We started the week with 2 orders and by the end of the week we had delivered 6 orders totaling 20 dozen cupcakes! I can no longer call BabyCakes my venture. I have a wonderful partner- my sweet husband Justin! He has been a real trooper this week doing anything from running to the store for me, cleaning my mess in the kitchen, and even pureeing strawberries. Without his help I would have never gotten all of those orders out and kept my sanity. I couldn't have asked for a better partner in life and in our new business venture! He is constantly a source of calm for me. I thank God for blessing me with a husband like him!

Simply Strawberry!

Today my nephew, Keller, and cousin, Lila, helped me try a new recipe for strawberry cupcakes. We had icing everywhere! The current consensus is that these are the best cupcakes so far. They were so moist and they had the perfect hint of strawberry to them. Oh and check out my fun cupcake apron I got in Dallas last weekend!

The Orders Keep Coming!

Yeah!!! We have four orders so far for May! I have been amazed at what a great response I am getting from people. It is a good thing I finish up school tomorrow because it looks like I'm going to be busy the next couple of weeks. Thank you all for spreading the word!
