We got our In Vitro calendar from our doctor last week. We will begin our cycle in mid June. Please pray with us as we go through this process again. We believe God can do miracles and we also believe He has a plan for us and His plan is far better than any we could imagine. While we can't imagine being more joyed than if we found out this IVF cycle was successful we trust that if it is not successful the day we do get to bring a baby home either naturally, through some treatment or adoption will be the most glorious day of our lives and it will be more joyful than any plan we could have come up with ourselves. So pray for safety as we travel, peace as we go through the process, strength for me to get through all of the procedures and patience as we wait to see if it is successful. I will not be taking orders for the dates of June 27th through July 13th. We will be traveling a lot during that time and the retrieval and transfer are scheduled during those times. I am sorry if that inconveniences anyone. Thank you all for your support and your prayers!

What a Week!
Wow! Last week was quite a week. We started the week with 2 orders and by the end of the week we had delivered 6 orders totaling 20 dozen cupcakes! I can no longer call BabyCakes my venture. I have a wonderful partner- my sweet husband Justin! He has been a real trooper this week doing anything from running to the store for me, cleaning my mess in the kitchen, and even pureeing strawberries. Without his help I would have never gotten all of those orders out and kept my sanity. I couldn't have asked for a better partner in life and in our new business venture! He is constantly a source of calm for me. I thank God for blessing me with a husband like him!

The Orders Keep Coming!
Yeah!!! We have four orders so far for May! I have been amazed at what a great response I am getting from people. It is a good thing I finish up school tomorrow because it looks like I'm going to be busy the next couple of weeks. Thank you all for spreading the word! I have business cards now so if you would like some to give to friends, family and coworkers let me know.

Baby Mama
Okay so tonight Justin and I went with our friends Matt and Shelly to see Baby Mama. We have been counting down the days until it was coming out ever since the first preview we saw for it. And much as I expected it was hilarious but much to my surprise it was also very real and relatable. I expected the deep belly laughs which I definately got but I didn't expect the moments of fighting back tears especially not within the first five minutes of the movie and not in a movie with quirky stars like Tina Fey, Amy Poeler, and Steve Martin. However as I sat and watched Tina Fey portray this character that seemed to be able to see and think of nothing but babies I quickly became emotionally involved in her character. It really was a great movie- good for lots of laughs but also a sweet story so if you are looking for a good movie I would definately recommend this one.

We got our first order!!!
Yippee! I got my first order for a birthday party- an Aggie birthday party! A friend from work asked me to make Aggie cupcakes for her son's birthday party next weekend. How fitting for me an Aggie to get to make Aggie cupcakes for my first order. I have also had many other people tell me they have upcoming events they want to order cupcakes for. Thank you all for spreading the word!

What is Babycakes?
BabyCakes is a cupcake business I am starting. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 4 years. We tried In Vitro a couple of months ago but it was not successful. As you may know this is an expensive procedure. We have decided to try again in June and if that is not successful we will proceed with the adoption process. This is where BabyCakes came in. I was reading and hearing about these cupcake shops that are all the rage across the country and I thought Abilene doesn't have a bakery specializing in cupcakes. So I decided this would be a means for bringing in some extra money for our baby fund. And BabyCakes was the perfect name for a cupcake shop started to make a little cash so we can bring home our baby. For now I will be baking out of my home but my dream is that one day I could open a chic cupcake bakery. So spread the word to all your friends and family and give us a call next time you need cupcakes for any event.
